Ruffled pillows are so cute, so in and so easy to make!
All it took to make this was:
~2 yards of gray fabric
~a pillow form
~a spool of thread
~& my sewing machine.
First I cut the fabric to fit the pillow form & sewed together two sides of the pillow:
one side & the top
leaving the other side & bottom un-sewn
Second I cut six strips of gray fabric 5 inches wide and 18 inches long
& sewed a hem on the bottom of each strip
Third I set the sewing machine to the longest stitch setting,
& then sewed two parallel lines at the top making sure they did NOT cross
Fourth you gently pull the bottom thread to gather the fabric & give it the ruffled look
Fifth After I gathered all the strips, I sewed each one onto the front part of the pillow,
layering them on as not to see the tops of each strip
Finally After each ruffled strip was sewn to the gray fabric, I sewed together the last side
& stuffed in the pillow form.
Then I finished off sewing the bottom and Voila!
